CONTEXT

Deloitte’s Purpose & DEI Office (PDEIO) partnered with SCADpro to redesign its internal web platform to help new hires and current employees better discover and engage with purpose-driven initiatives. As the lead UX designer, I led the research interviews and drove the wireframes and design system development, collaborating closely with eight PDEIO stakeholders to ensure alignment with Deloitte’s organizational goals..

PROBLEM

New hires miss chances to build relationships, understand Deloitte’s mission, and find meaningful pathways for personal and professional growth during the onboarding process.

THUS WE ASKED,

So, how do we help Deloitte effectively communicate its business purpose during onboarding to integrate it into new hires’ daily roles, aligning with the expectations of employees?

APPROACH

To find the root cause in the onboarding process, I first conducted the interview with Deloitte's recent new hires and Human resource teams and analyzed how the current system is providing employee resources and onboarding information.

During Summer 2024, I had a chance to work
at Honeywell Industrial Automation org.
I redesigned visual components, and designed 4 main key features of Vertex UI,that used across Vertex product family to improve usability for semiconductor fabrication stakeholders including system owners and engineers.

I lead the UI component Library rebuild to improve collaboration, versioning, and contribution model and revamped the old UI.

Current internal websites are not lacking awareness.

I led designing a web-based platform that helps new hires understand their impact, build connections, and explore growth pathways at Deloitte. It brings together client impact, pro bono opportunities, firm engagement, learning programs, and performance expectations through a tailored, guided experience.
